Hi SmeetParmar

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click the power button on your Start Menu
Press the Shift Key and click Restart
Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment
Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Command Prompt

Type this command and press Enter:

chkdsk C: /f /r

Wait for that command to complete, then restart your PC and try the update again.

Thanks.

The Windows update to 22h2 cannot be performed if Windows including the boot partition is on a dynamic converted disk.

Windows normally cannot be installed on a dynamically converted disk.

Look at this picture for example: https://www.diskpart.com/screenshot/en/others/windows-10/cannot-install-windows-on-dynamic-disk.png

Unfortunately, I can't give you any advice as to whether a disk can be converted from Dynamic back to Basic without any problems and without data loss.

I haven't tried/tested it yet.

Greetings

That's true, but if someone converts the hard drive from Basic to Dynamic after installing WIndows, the upgrade can no longer be performed.

Hi SmeetParmar

The only other solution to this error in the update process is to extend the size of the EFI (boot) partition to double its current size, but some people have experienced problems booting Windows after doing that.
